“Each noise from the street, each carriage that passed made the virgin’s breast palpitate and made her tremble. Ah! now she longs for the tranquil convent, to be among her friends! There she would be able to see him without trembling, without being disturbed! But is he not your childhood friend, did you not play stupid games and even sometimes quarrel? The reasons of these things, I will not say: if you, who read me, has loved, you will understand and if not, it is useless for me to tell you: the uninitiated will not understand these mysteries.”—from Noli Me Tangere by Jose Rizal (translated by Jovita Ventura Castro)
“What did these two souls say to each other, who communicated in this language of the eyes, more perfect than that of the lips, language given to the soul so that its sound does not disturb the ecstasy of sentiments? In these instances when the thoughts of the two happy beings penetrate across their pupils, the world is slow, coarse, weak like the harsh and stupid roar of thunder compared with the flash and rapidity of lightning: it expresses a sentiment already known, an idea already understood, and if it is used, it’s because the ambition of the heart that dominates the being overflowing with joy, wants the whole human organism with all its physical and psychical faculties to express the poem of happiness that the spirit sings. To a question of love asked by a glance that shines or clouds, language has no answers: only a smile, a kiss or a sigh.”—Noli Me Tangere by Jose Rizal (translated by Jovita Ventura Castro)
Because I don't know what to do with my hair anymore.
I’m going to convince my mom to let me dye my hair violet. (A big thanks to Gel’s suggestion!) :D
Not all of my hair, though. The bottom half, maybe.
For almost four years, my hair has been the same: long and curly, most of the time, frizzy. Short hair doesn’t fit me, rebonding or any form of hair straightening treatment does not appeal to me, BUT I want a drastic change for the New Year. (‘Cause I’m in my last year in college, and you know, let’s be stupid and spontaneous and all that.)
